Yielding in the bible is to surrender, submit, give way, give up or relinquish possession of — to give one’s self up, to be dedicated or devoted to. God created the earth with the capacity to yield — Genesis 1:11; Ps 67:6; 85:12 The spirit is yielded up upon one’s death — Gen 49:33 (Jacob); Matt 27:50-54 (Jesus). Submit to God and not to the devil. We should not yield or submit or give in to Satan or his temptations – (James 4:6-10). Instead of yielding works of the flesh, we should yield the fruit of the Spirit — (Gal 5:19-23). And more…
